Scuba & Sea Turtle Adventure #1

All the Chica Scouts of this course passed their scuba diving training and are now scuba certified! The girls are back in Costa Rica staying at our rainforest base. Today they’re finishing up course with a day of ziplining through the canopies and visiting the San Jose artisan market. We hope to have photos of the group to upload to our Facebook page next week!

Service Challenge #1

The Chica Scouts of Service Challenge finished up their community-based project in Amubri and headed to the river for a day of rafting! They’ve spent the last days of their course on the Central Pacific Coast working at the Playa Hermosa Wildlife Refuge. Their work has included rebuilding the refuge’s hatchery and learning about the local endangered hawksbill and green sea turtle population. Like the Scuba & Sea Turtle Adventure ladies, this group has spent the day ziplining and shopping at the San Jose artisan market.
