The Scuba & Sea Turtle Adventure #3 participants spent time at the Isla Bastimentos in Bocas del Toro, Panama just before they went on a canopy tour in Red Frog beach.

The group had the chance to explore the ocean and enjoyed scuba diving.

“My favorite part of the course so far is all the water activities that we are doing because the water here is so clear and beautiful. All the things we’ve done here ended up being a very fun time,” said Acacia H. from Ventura, California.

“This week we’ve been doing a lot of scuba diving and other water activities and it’s been going very well. Everyone is over the nervousness of getting into the water. We are all excited and we’ve seen a lot of cool fishes and aquatic animals,” said Anna M. from Oceanside, California.

“One thing I’ve learned about myself is that, as scary as it seems, trying new things isn’t hard,” added Raegen S. from San Antonio, Texas.

Yesterday, the students went to the beach for boogie boarding and to do team-building activities.

“I found that living with this group offered a lot of support for me in ways that I didn’t know were possible,” said Sarah C. from Hopewell, New Jersey.

“Living on the dock with everyone has taught me how to better resolve conflicts because, when you are living in such close quarters with other people, you need to learn how to get over it and get on with it,” said Reagen S. from San Antonio, Texas.

“Living with this group of girls was really interesting for me. I think it’s really cool that girls who come from around the US can come together and still share the same interests even though we come from different backgrounds,” said Acacia H. from Ventura, California.
