Our Scuba & Sea Turtle Adventure course will spark your sense of adventure and passion for learning as you discover new depths and gain compassion for the marine life that inhabits the tropical waters of Panama. You will not only explore the crystal clear Caribbean Ocean while learning to scuba dive but will also dedicate time to protecting and learning about the region’s diverse marine life through a meaningful conservation project.

You and your fellow Girl Scouts will spend the majority of your time exploring the beautiful archipelago of Bocas del Toro in northern Panama. From your island basecamp, become scuba certified in the tropical waters and wakeboard & snorkel among colorful reefs. On land, gain another unforgettable perspective of Panama with a zipline canopy tour and ropes course where you will not only soar through the trees but help cheer your group on through exciting obstacles. Additional activities may also include sailing on a catamaran, a bike tour of one of the local islands, and a limestone cave exploration.

Learn about Panama’s exotic wildlife and diverse coastal ecology while assisting with sea turtle conservation efforts that include nightly patrols, cataloging nests, habitat creation, and if the babies are ready, releasing newly hatched baby turtles into the wild. You may also participate in additional service projects that include beach clean-ups and/or trail preservation.
