Earn 12 – 14 hours of community service. Our Scuba & Sea Turtle Adventure course will spark your sense of adventure and passion for learning as you discover new depths and gain compassion for the marine life that inhabits the tropical waters of Panama. You will explore the crystal clear Caribbean Ocean while learning to scuba dive and dedicate time to protecting and learning about the region’s diverse marine life through a meaningful conservation project with Leatherback sea turtles and manatees.

Learn about Panama’s exotic wildlife and diverse coastal ecology while assisting with sea turtle conservation efforts that include nightly patrols, cataloging nests, habitat creation, and possibly releasing newly hatched baby turtles into the wild. You may also participate in additional service projects that include beach cleanups, securing and providing food for the newly returned manatee population and/or trail preservation.

You and your fellow Girl Scouts will spend the majority of your time exploring the beautiful archipelago of Bocas del Toro in northern Panama. From your island basecamp, become scuba certified in the tropical waters and wakeboard & snorkel among colorful reefs. Gain a different perspective of Panama with a zipline canopy tour, and shopping in Bocas Town. Additional activities may also include sailing on a catamaran, a bike tour of one of the local islands, wake boarding and a limestone cave exploration.
