This July, we had the pleasure of welcoming our first Scout troop from Manitoba, Canada for a custom adventure here in Costa Rica! The Girl Guides were excited to get their hands dirty with some sea turtle conservation service, catch some gnarly waves in Manuel Antonio, and zip through the air on a thrilling canopy tour. They also had the unique opportunity to meet local Costa Rican Scouts and work together on a service project with rural schoolchildren in Playa Ostional. The girls had a great time bonding as a troop on their first trip abroad together and are leaving with an invigorated sense of adventure and wonder at the world around them! Their instructors Mauren and Meylin really loved seeing the group’s positive attitude throughout their course — here’s what they had to say:
