Outward Bound Costa Rica is thrilled to welcome our new Group Programs & Partnerships Manager, Carolyn Crist to our communications team. Carolyn will be responsible for managing and developing custom courses to bring a wide range of students to OBCR that help push their limits in the natural settings and adventures found in Costa Rica and Panama. Carolyn Crist Hometown: Coventry, Rhode Island, USA Education: M.A. International Education, SIT Graduate Institute; B.A. Communication Studies and Spanish, Clemson University Carolyn is a firm believer in that wonderful saying, “Home is where the heart is.” Having traveled many times to Texas from Rhode Island to visit family throughout her childhood, being on the move was a thrill. Her decision to attend Clemson University in South Carolina (Go Tigers!) allowed her study abroad in Cordoba, Argentina, opening her up to the exciting world of international travel! She’s backpacked across Southeast Asia, participated in a field course in the Caribbean, and earned her Master’s degree in International Education to allow her to share her love of travel for a living. She’s made a home for herself near mountains and beaches, big cities and college towns; but never a rainforest! Always up for a new adventure, this is Carolyn’s first time in Central America. She is excited to work with our groups to assist them in embarking on their life-altering journeys, as well as continue her own, in beautiful Costa Rica! ᐧ
