Air Methods Flight Operations SupportResponsible for providing surveillance and operational support for all Air Methods flight operations. Monitor and oversee safe conduct of flight operations. This position is located in Greenwood Village, Colorado which facilitates aircraft operations 24/7/ 365 days a year throughout the United States and Internationally. Compensation for this role is $55,625.00 to $83,525.00 Annually.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Monitor and oversee safe conduct of flight operations of the company's aircraft.Monitor crew duty time limitations, currency requirements and aircraft status to ensure compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR).Review all medical Flight Risk Assessments as required with the pilot-in-command in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations.Collect, disseminate and distribute all information regarding Operational Control problems, which require immediate attention. Expedite follow-up action as required to resolve such problems.Report and record all irregularities, which involve flight operations safety or emergency measures.Analyze and evaluate meteorological information to determine potential hazards to safety of flight.Communicate information and data as required, especially regarding hazardous flight conditions and pertinent information affecting the safety of flightParticipate in frequent and detailed recurrent training courses covering company operations policy and Federal Air Regulations as required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).Maintain current knowledge and understanding of all operation manuals and regulatory requirements pertinent to areas of responsibility and authority.Other Duties as assigned.Additional Job RequirementsRegular scheduled attendance, rotating shifts 8-10 hours, day, mid, and nightIndicate the percentage of time spent traveling: 10%Subject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. In accordance with applicable laws, Air Methods will provide reasonable accommodations that do not create an undue burden so disabled employees may perform the essential functions of the position.High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.Successfully pass knowledge and practical test, required of 14 CFR 135.619Successfully pass FAA mandated Drug and Alcohol Test2+ years' experience (within the last 5 years) in any one or a combination of the following:Military aircraft operations as a pilot or meteorologistPart 135 Air Ambulance Air carrier operations as a pilot (helicopter or airplane)Air carrier operations as a certified aircraft dispatcher or meteorologistAircraft operations as an air traffic controller or flight service specialistAir Ambulance Communication Center Flight FollowerSkills:Demonstrated ability to us active listening, good judgement and problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, in the English languageComputer Skills:Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excelt and OutlookCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:FAA Commercial/Instrument (Rotorcraft or Airplane) Certificate or FAA Dispatcher Certificate preferredThis position is subject to drug and/or alcohol testing per the DOT/FAA requirements (pre-employment, random, reasonable cause/suspicion, post-accident).Air Methods is an EEO/AA employer.
