MD Psychiatry & Emotional Health, PLLC is a thriving private psychiatry practice seeking a licensed physician assistant for our Durham, Raleigh, and Cary office locations. MD supervision by an experienced clinician with 28+ years of experience. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday in an outpatient setting. MD Psychiatry & Emotional Health, PLLC provides treatment for child, adolescent and adult patients. Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Provide patient care, including medication management, supportive psychotherapy, Spravato treatment and TMS Therapy
- Utilize EMR systems to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with medical advancements and best practices in psychiatry.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

-Licensed Physician Assistant

- Psychiatry experience strongly preferred
- Medical office or patient care experience
- Familiar with HIPAA regulations
- Experience administering injections
- Competent in conducting physical examinations
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience using EMR systems

Led by founder and chief medical officer Haresh Tharwani, MD, DFAPA, the team offers consultation, assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for all psychiatric disorders. MD Psychiatry & Emotional Health, PLLC, specializes in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, cognitive Impairment and dementia, schizophrenia, neurodevelopmental disorders like attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), substance abuse, and personality disorders. The team carefully tailors an individualized approach to each patient’s treatment, considering their body, mind, and soul – everything that makes them a unique and valued individual.

MD Psychiatry & Emotional Health, PLLC, uses psychopharmacology (medications for psychiatric disorders) and a wide variety of psychotherapy interventions — talk therapies such as supportive psychotherapy, psychodynamic therapy (psychoanalysis), interpersonal psychotherapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). In addition, the MD Psychiatry & Emotional Health, PLLC, team offers “innovative alternatives like transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy (at our Durham location) and Spravato® (esketamine nasal spray) (only at our South Cary location) for patients with treatment-resistant conditions. They also perform electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) evaluations and give referrals.
