Service projects are often incorporated into Outward Bound courses through coordination with local land managers, conservation groups, government or social service agencies.
This is especially relevant in Costa Rica, as you explore the country’s most diverse landscapes, you’ll also practice responsibility to the environment and your team by sharing tasks and following Recreate Responsibly ethics. These projects offer a chance to see firsthand how collective action can make a lasting difference while connecting deeply with both the natural world and the communities you serve.
Throughout this course, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in meaningful service projects that benefit both the local community and the environment. You will contribute to efforts like beach clean-ups and rainforest reforestation, working alongside local organizations that focus on sustainable conservation practices.
