Last week we welcomed our Fall 2016 class of OLS students to base. We wasted no time putting them to the test of Wilderness First Responder training. This week and next week, students are studying in the classroom and working on homework in the evening in preparation for their first certification. This is definitely the hardest phase of OLS but our students are up for the task. They are working hard, getting acclimated to life in the jungle, and enjoying making new friendships. They most likely cannot wait to get out into the water and rainforests (although we have had enough rain to keep them happy for a while) and put their new skills into practice.
