This week our Communications team celebrated Outward Bound Costa Rica‘s first media day by spending a day on course with six bloggers and journalists.

The group spent time with Executive Director and Founder Jim Rowe, an Outward Bound instructor and one of our students to learn more about the history of Outward Bound Costa Rica and the Outward Bound philosophy.

We then headed down the rushing Sarapiqui River to conquer the rapids on a whitewater rafting expedition while learning about the flora and fauna of the area, as well as how the river can be viewed as a metaphor for challenges in life.

The group ended the day at our rainforest base with a cup of local coffee and to hear more about our Summer Expeditions, Gap Year & Semester Programs, Girl Scout Destinations and Group Programs.
