Prior the departure of many of the American staff members for the holiday break, a large contingent of staff made their way for the Rio General and 3days of fun. Packing up all the necessary supplies for the trip, the group departed for the starting point of San Isidro de General, home to numerous staff at Outward Bound Costa Rica. The group’s journey began with numerous rapids and countless beautiful views on what is one of the favorite rivers for many staff at Outward Bound. The group finished up the day by making camp along the river, with everyone assigned to different tasks just as on a normal course. A delicious dinner and camping under tarps were the call of duty for the rest of the night.
An early rise to day-2 allowed for another spectacular day of rapids, surfing boats and some fantastic river side lunches. Another night of river side camping preceded a calm and enjoyable day-3, giving the happy boaters an opportunity to get a little bit of sun and enjoy the sights of what truely is a spectacular river!
