Semester Programs Update – November 23rd

Coast to Coast Semester

The Coast to Coast group is still on their trek from one Coast of Costa Rica to the other. Students have had the chance to stay with homestay families along the way.

“The group is doing great,” said Mauren, one of their instructors.

As part of their hiking phase, Coast to Coast participants have had the chance to do waterfall rappel. They also learned how to work a ‘trapiche’, the tool used to make juice out of sugar cane at one of their homestays.

Their instructors regularly send us photos of the group that you can check out on our Facebook.

Outdoor Leader Semester

The Outdoor Leader Semester students came back to our rainforest base to work on obtaining their Technical Rope Rescue certification with our instructor Phil.

Now, they are completing the hiking phase of their course and are heading to the ecolodge of Tinamu, before hiking to Londres and then driving back to our rainforest base. They will head out to Panama to learn scuba diving as their next phase.

More photos are available in the albums on our Facebook. You can also follow our Twitter and Instagram to stay in touch with us or visit our website to learn more about our Semester Programs.
