Semester Update – November 29th

Coast to Coast Semester

Coast to Coast participants have completed their 26-day hike and are now enjoying staying in Panama. They have been scuba diving, snorkeling around our dock campsite, and wakeboarding.

“They are loving not having to carry all their belongings on their back,” said Bailey, one of their instructors. “But there hasn’t been a dull moment.”

“Panama is a nice escape from the challenge that the hike was,” added Troy G.

The group has also been practicing their sea kayaking skills preparing for the upcoming 5-day sea kayak expedition to local indigenous islands!

“It’s a delightful mix of learning, but also having a small vacation: cool, and fun!” said Danielle O.

Outdoor Leader Semester

Our Outdoor Leader group has also headed to Panama to begin the scuba diving phase of their course, and they have a lot to say about it:

“I love scuba diving, it’s super fun and Panama is beautiful,” said Dustin D.

“Panama is amazing, it’s a beautiful country and we’ve been learning a lot about the culture,” said Christina C. “I’m really glad to be living it and experiencing this new culture.”

“It’s beautiful here, there’s lots of mountains and we are right on the water which is incredible,” added Molly L. “We saw so many fish while scuba diving. I’m feeling very lucky to be able to be learning here.”

“It’s awesome here, and being on the dock is really nice,” said Trevor M.
