Rainforest Hike & Homestay #2

Rainforest Hike & Homestay #2

During their first week in Costa Rica, our Rainforest Hike & Homestay Session #2 students completed their  jungle trek through the remote community of Piedras Blancas. The students camped along the trail before reaching homestays where they learned about Costa Rican traditions from local families. The students made bread and interviewed Don Hernan, one of the community founders, to learn about the history of Piedras Blancas.

After hiking a great distance, they ended up on the Pacific coast. Today they are at the beach near Manuel Antonio National Park learning to boogie board and enjoying granizados, Costa Rican snow cones. Their final days on course include whitewater rafting, a canopy tour, and more!
