What a treat it was to have the Girl Scouts of Troop #30507 join us for a custom course here in Costa Rica this summer! As a group celebration before heading off to college, the girls came to Costa Rica together to volunteer with the sea turtle population, try their hand at surfing, and challenge themselves whitewater rafting on the rushing Pejibaye River. Not only did they get to assist in sea turtle conservation efforts, but they also had the very special chance to witness the magic of an “arribada”, a synchronized nesting of Olive Ridley turtles on the beach.
The girls finished their trip with an exciting visit to the pristine Irazu Volcano and a fun outing to the local Artisan market to pick up some souvenirs before heading home!
