Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapist Specialty: Inpatient Acute Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hours Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Acute care experience Description: The position involves working with an acute care population. You will treat patients who are elective orthopedic post-operative cases, such as hips, knees, and shoulders, as well as medical and surgical patients including those in ICU. Daily patient interactions typically involve treating 7 to 9 patients. You will be required to cover various areas including orthopedic, medical, ICU/IMC, PACU, ED, and observation units. Flexibility is necessary as you may need to float to other facilities when census or volumes are low. You are expected to work two weekends per month in addition to two weekdays. Holiday coverage will be required for one summer holiday and one winter holiday. Dress code requires black scrub pants and tops in black, royal blue, or "Christmas" red. Orientation will be conducted with the Lead Therapist. The cancellation policy allows for shifts to be canceled under certain conditions. Charting will be performed using the EPIC system.
