What a treat it was to welcome 5 participants from Vanoutdoors Society here in Costa Rica for a recent custom-made adventure! With our two OBCR instructors, Joshua and Mauren, this dynamic group set off for 9 days full of exciting, new, and challenging experiences. From exploring the beautiful Irazu Volcano to volunteering at a local school and participating in sea turtle conservation work, this group really made the most of their time in their tropical surroundings, leaving chilly Vancouver behind! The OBCR instructors really enjoyed working with this group and seeing some of the mother-son bonds get even stronger on their custom-made adventure – here’s what they had to say:
“I feel that the best moments I had with the group during this adventure was learning more about their culture, it was incredible to know the great differences between Costa Rica and China! I was fascinated to talk with them and to learn a little of their language. They shared a lot with us and vice versa, so everyone learned a lot of new things, which will not be forgotten and will be put into practice. I wish you the best in your future adventures and encourage you to continue expanding your comfort zone, as you did here in Costa Rica!”
